Some of the popular series of Virgin Comics:

(i) Dock Walloper Series - Written by movie star Edward Burns and writer Jimmy Palmiotti. The story is set in the New York City of 1920s. America's great metropolis
has become the nexus of high society culture, cutting edge industry and perhaps the most shocking crime wave in US history. Known for its sinister and treacherous
underworld, there's a new power waking up the city that never sleeps. Its name... John "The Hand" Smith.
The Nickname is a given. An outcast and an orphan, Smith's massive right hand is nearly twice as large as his left, and when push comes to shove, you'd pity anyone who gets
in his way. Smith's only friends in the world are a fellow orphan and low-rent black gangster nicknamed Bootsy, and an Asian femme fatale known as Ring-a-Ling. In a world
of crime, passion, and a touch of the fantastic, they will attempt to change organized crime or die trying.
(ii) Guy Ritchie's Gamekeeper - Written by film-maker Guy Ritchie who at that time, received more attention by media for being Madonna's husband. A man known only as
Brock lives a quiet existence as gamekeeper on a secluded Scottish estate. The tranquility is disrupted when Russian paramilitary mercenaries storm the estate and kill
Jonah Morgan, Brock’s friend and owner of the estate. To avenge Jonah’s death and protect a secret equation, Brock must turn predator and journey deep into an unfamiliar, urban underworld. Throughout his journey, he is plagued by a dark past and his son's death.
(iii) The Megas - Written by Jonathan Mostow, the director of many movies including Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. A movie is being planned on this series. This series explores a possibility of what might have happened had the founding fathers of the United States established another aristocracy rather than a democracy. The eponymous Megas are the elite members of the American Royalty, a somewhat benevolent but dictatorial ruling class. Now, in the 21st Century, the Megas have ruled America for over 200 years.
(iv) Seven Brothers - Written by John Woo who has made many blockbusters movies like Face/Off. 600 years ago, a mighty treasure fleet set out to sail the oceans of the world. They reached every continent, discovered every land long before history's great explorers stole the credit for their feats. Now, in modern day Los Angeles, there are seven men with nothing in common but their destinies are drawn together in the service of a mysterious young woman. An ancient prophecy must be fulfilled. Our heroes have to save the world.
(v) Snake Woman - Written by Shekhar Kapur, the director of Mr. India and Bandit Queen. Jessica Peterson is a young girl who has moved to Los Angeles where she works
as a waitress in a downtown LA dive-bar. Naturally quiet and reserved, Jessica's slow immersion into the bigger city life is accelerated all of a sudden when one night a
yuppie bar patron she mistakenly trusts accosts her. When he tries to take advantage of her (walking her home from the bar) rattling on about some ancient order and other strange things during the attack itself, Jessica is not only able to fight him off, she actually turns predator and rather gruesomely kills him. Overwhelmed with emotion, Jessica feels a strange one mixed in – arousal. She is torn between her human emotions and snake instincts.
2. Shakti Line of Series - This line faetured stories and series where the heroes and heroines were based on Indian myths:
(i) Asura Analogues - This series reimagined the stories of Asuras, about how their stories would have been had they been in modern times. There have been demons like Rakt-beej in the stories of this series.
(ii) Devi - Created by Shekhar Kapur, Devi was a celestial warrior goddess created by the gods to fight the renegade god Bala in the 2nd century of man. When Bala rose again to threaten the universe, Devi was reborn within the body of a young woman named Tara Mehta. The Devi entity had emerged within a warrior-woman of the Durapasya (human warriors of light) clan. She had led the armies of the gods and men on an all-out assault on Bala’s Fortress. The series had some other important characters like Rahul Singh, a cynical burnt out alcoholic police officer who, by a strange turn of events, finds himself as the sidekick of the current Devi incarnate, Tara Mehta. Kratha is an apsara assassin hired by Lord Bala to kill Tara Mehta. Aganthuk is a priest of the order of the Durapasya who advocates the "radical" idea of keeping the human host alive for the Devi entity. Dada Thakur helps James to explore the hidden mystical powers inside him and James becomes the super-hero Sadhu.
(iv) Ramayan 3392 A.D. - Written by Shamik Dasgupta, this series is a brainchild of Deepak Chopra and Shekhar Kapur. It features a re-imagining of the historical classic
Ramayan in a post-apocalyptic future. In this series, Ravan is the leader of the continent of Nark and a product of nanotechnology, Ravan was created by one of the seven nations of the world during the 'pre-Mahavinash' period, in an attempt to obtain an edge over the other six nations during the world war that consumed the planet. This adaptation of Ramayan significantly changes the roles of many pivotal characters, which has been a tradition through ancient Indian literature. The spiritual themes of the
ancient epic are in this case replaced by technological ones, often culminating in the same situations. This may reflect the classical Indian belief that the history of then
universe repeats in cycles, eventually leading history to repeat itself in similar yet alien ways. In South India, there have been many versions of Ramayan with different
stories, some of them written Ravan's point of view. So this series is not the first time when a different version of Ramayan has been seen. Mandalay Pictures is working on
