Team 3 (Mohit Trendster): Consistently strong with multiple wins and a record-setting four bonus points in a single season, marking a Comics Character League milestone.

Team 5 (Smit Singh): Had a dismal performance, facing strong opponents in the initial stages.

Team 6 (Manoj Kumar Garg): Notable for their win with Ram-Raheem and a couple of close victories.

Team 7 (Mohan Lal Mourya): Achieved a record victory with Bankelal, earning a bonus point, and had to use their other trump card, Bhokal, in Round 1.

Tie-Breaker after Round 2 - Comics Character League S2

The second round of Comics Character League Season 2 is nearing its conclusion, with the final battle of this round still ongoing. One team, Team 3 (Mohit Trendster), has already secured its place in the finals. The second finalist will be determined based on the outcome of the last battle (Chacha Chaudhary vs. Lomdi). If Team 7 wins this battle (which seems unlikely), they will qualify for the finals. However, if Team 7 does not win, the remaining three teams from Round 2 will have equal points, and there isn't a significant difference in their vote shares.

Team 6 (Manoj Kumar Garg)

Team 7 (Mohan Lal Mourya)

Team 8 (Ravi Yadav)

Therefore, the CCL organizers have decided to give these three teams one more opportunity to secure a place in the finals. To determine which team among them will advance, a Tie-Breaker Battle will be held among the three teams. In this Tie-Breaker, one character from each of the three teams will be put into the battle. The team whose character receives the most votes will earn a spot in the finals.

The Tie-Breaker Battle will take place after the results of the final battle of Round 2 are announced, which means it will occur tomorrow, and the schedule for the finals will be adjusted accordingly.

To ensure fairness in the Tie-Breaker, the decision has been made that only villain characters will be used. Each team has two villain characters, and they can choose one of these for the battle. If a team feels that their current villain character isn't strong enough, they can swap it for another villain character, even from a different publication, for this round. There will be no toss for this Tie-Breaker; each team should decide on their villain character based on their own and their opponents' characters.

Journey to the Comics Character League 2023 Finals

Journey to the CCL Finals

Manoj Kumar Garg - Won: 6, Lost: 3, Tie: 1

Prahalad Dubey - Won - 6:, Lost: 4

Head to Head - (1-1), Manoj (Round 1 by 1% margin), Prahalad (Round 2 by 5% margin)

24-Hour Comic-making Session

Studio Kokaachi, a publishing house-cum-storytelling studio, based in Kochi, will celebrate a 24-Hour Comics Day that falls on Saturday in a unique way (THIRUVANANTHAPURAM). This is going to be a challenge. Though we are unsure about the success, we are going to be in this together.”

The ingredients one needs to survive the 24 hours, include paper, art materials, food (also a few sleeping mats). Those with no prior experience can also take part. Super Sikh Project

About this project

THE CONCEPT:

Have you ever asked yourself why there are no Sikh superheroes? Isn't it time to see a hero in a turban for a change?

For centuries, Sikhs have stood for equality, justice, and righteous living. Sikhism is the 5th largest religion, with more than 20 million followers, and is not connected to Islamic extremism.

But we live in modern times, where Sikhs are often misunderstood, the subject of stereotyping and hate crimes. In the U.S., for example, Sikh kids are bullied more than twice the national average.

So who do our kids look up to?

Batman? Spiderman? Ironman?

These are all characters imagined by mainstream American comic book writers, many of them created over 50 years ago.

We asked the question. The answer?

A hero is not defined by the way a person looks, but by a person's actions.

So we realized that now is the time to show the world a modern hero in a turban. It's time for a Super Sikh!

Empowered by this idea, we created a story about a Secret Agent named Deep Singh, who loves Elvis and hates bad guys.

WHO WE ARE:

Eileen Alden: Co-Creator/Comic Book Writer/First known person to become Sikh as a result of doing extensive research for a comic book.

Supreet Singh Manchanda: Co-Creator/Silicon Valley Exec./Life-long fan of comic books, with a highly active imagination.

Amit Tayal: Renowned International Artist
